The Labex OT-Med call for collaborative scientific projects, postdoctoral and PhD fellowships, scientific events and support to mobility (incoming and outgoing) was launched on January 13, 2016. The deadline was February 29, 2016. This year the participative procedure has been launched by OT-Med for the construction of collaborative projects. These projects have been discussed during the OT-Med Progress Meeting, which took place from 6 to 8 January 2016. ONLY THE SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS INCLUDED IN THIS PROCEDURE WERE ELIGIBLE. Concerning scientific events and mobility fellowships (ingoing and outgoing) the call was open to all researchers from OT-Med laboratories under the specified conditions.
Finally, nine proposals of scientific projects resulted from the collaborative procedure. Moreover, two proposals concerning scientific events and one demand concerning support to mobility have been submitted. At least three reviewers were nominated to evaluate each scientific project.
The selection of the funded projects was done on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 by the OT-Med Management Board.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The total budget of submitted proposals was of 4256 K€. Within that, 1723 K€ were requested from OT-Med. A total amount of 1047 K€ has been attributed for scientific projects (including 143 K€ obtained under condition of the attribution of cofunding). Within this funding 254,6 K€ has been attributed for operating expenses, 55 K€ for investment, 217,4 K€ for PhD theses and 520 K€ for postdocs). Additionally 8K€ has been attributed for scientific events and 11,3 K€ for mobility fellowships.
Figure 1 shows the distribution of the rejected and accepted projects versus the laboratory. The laboratory of the PI and in most of the cases of the co-PI was scored as one and the other participating laboratories were scored as 0.5. In case of FORECCAST project only the part of the requested funding has been attributed, so the laboratory of PI was scored as 0,5 and among other participating laboratories, only these concerned by the attributed funding were scored 0,5. In general, three laboratories have a score of accepted projects of 2.5 or more (CEREGE, MIO and IMBE). They correspond also to the highest score of submitted projects (involvement in at least five out of nine projects) and are also the biggest labs of OT-Med. Among six funded projects, three are the contribution to MISTRALS. All funded projects have a large interdisciplinary character, including natural and social sciences (SHS).
