The OT-Med call for projects 2016 was launched in January 2016 and closed on 29th February 2016.
OT-Med has received 12 proposals: 9 scientific projects (3,5 PhD positions and 9 postdoctoral positions of the total duration of 19,3 years of postdoc were requested), 2 demands of cofunding of scientific events and 1 proposal concerning mobility. The total budget requested from OT-Med for scientific projects is of 1723 K€ including 366 K€ for operating expenses and 55 K€ for investments.
For scientific projects unlike the previous years, this time the participative procedure has been launched by OT-Med in November 2015 for the construction of collaborative projects and the list of preselected scientific projects had already been established before the call for projects. These projects were discussed during the OT-Med Progress Meeting, which took place from 6 to 8 January 2016. Click here for the short description of the submitted projects. For scientific events and mobility fellowships no prior procedure has been launched.
A total amount of 140 K€ is available for operating expenses every year up to 2019. For the multi-annual projects, this amount concerns the costs for the first year. The remaining cost being deferred to the 2017 budget. In addition, a maximum of 9 fellowships (PhD or postdoc) will be funded until the end of the Labex (2019). The number of fellowships attributed in this call depends on the excellence of the research projects.
Each scientific project will be evaluated by 2 external reviewers and the final decision will be taken by the OT-Med management board. The results will be available at the beginning of May 2016.
