OT-Med training activities are mostly linked with the MedNet project (“Mediterranean Network of environmental training sites supporting OSU Pythéas master’s degrees and international academic partnerships”), which is co-funded by A*MIDEX and OT-Med. MedNet proposes an innovative pedagogical concept based on fieldwork courses on earth and environmental sciences.
MedNet provides young students an opportunity to open their mind, which hopefully is useful for their careers. MedNet leaders are also the leaders of OT-Med training sector. MedNet is administratively supported by OT-Med which also contributes to the organization of field courses. Several annual field schools and one spring school are held in the frame of MedNet:
- Spring school
- MedNet@MoroccoTunisia (biotechnology: biodiversity and bioressources)
- MedNet@FrenchAlps (ecology, geomorphology, paleoenvironment, tectonics)
- MedNet@Tunisia&Provence (ecology)
- Hydraride (in 2013; hydrologyn hydrogeology, geosciences)
